Prepaid SIM Card Real Name Registration Terms and Conditions
 
China Mobile Hong Kong ("China Mobile Hong Kong") Prepaid SIM Card (" Prepaid SIM card") Real Name Registration Terms and Conditions ("Terms and Conditions")

 

1. This Terms and Conditions applies to all prepaid SIM cards that provide telecommunications services in Hong Kong, including China Mobile Hong Kong Prepaid SIM cards, 5G MySim, Mobile Duck Prepaid SIM cards, Rekanan Prepaid SIM cards, Kabayan Prepaid SIM cards, MyFriend Prepaid SIM cards and Simplifly. All prepaid SIM cards are in addition to THE (GENERAL) CONTRACT FOR THE PROVISION OF TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICES AND PURCHASE OF HANDSET TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

2. The Telecommunications (Registration of SIM Cards) Regulation (the “Regulation”) came into effect on September 1st, 2021. According to the Regulation, prepaid SIM card users must complete prepaid SIM card real name registration with the respective telecommunications service operator in order to activate or continue the use of prepaid SIM card services.

4. China Mobile Hong Kong provides early prepaid SIM card real name registration service for existing prepaid SIM card users. Users can register their Prepaid SIM cards on the Prepaid SIM card Registration Page of China Mobile Hong Kong or on MyLink App prior to February 23rd, 2023 on a voluntary basis.

5. Users must comply with the Regulation and provide accurate registration information, including but not limited to:

6. China Mobile Hong Kong will verify the registration information provided by the users. If the registration information provided by the user does not comply with the requirements stated in the Regulation, or the registration information provided is believed to be incomplete, contradictory, incorrect and/or misleading, China Mobile Hong Kong may reject the registration application of the user and request the user to re-submit his or her registration information within a time limit, as required by the Regulation.

7. Users may be held liable for providing incorrect and/or misleading information, while China Mobile Hong Kong accepts no liability.

If users fail to complete SIM card registration before the statutory deadline, or fail to re-submit registration information within the time limit requested by China Mobile Hong Kong, or fail to pass the registration verification that leads to the suspension or termination of Prepaid SIM card services, China Mobile Hong Kong makes no prior notice nor compensation, and bears no responsibility.

9. In accordance with the Regulation, each individual user can register no more than 10 prepaid SIM cards with each telecommunications service operator, and each organization user can register no more than 25 Prepaid SIM cards.

10. China Mobile Hong Kong collects registration information of the users in strict accordance to the Regulation, Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486), and China Mobile Hong Kong's Privacy Policy Statement. All collected information will be stored in the database of China Mobile Hong Kong, and kept for at least 12 months upon prepaid SIM card deregistration.

11. In case of any discrepancy between the English version and the Chinese version in this Terms and Conditions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
